Guild Wars 2 is one of the most popular MMOs today while the original Guild Wars was one of the biggest in the 2000s.
The games are wildly different but one thing they have in common at the moment are the Black Friday sales that ArenaNet put up.
Potential players can grab base games and multiple expansions at a rather low cost, as listed below.
Guild Wars Black Friday sale
- Base Game GOTY Edition - €5
- Contains bonus in-game items that can be useful at times
- Stats can be replicated via regular drops but they have unique appearance
- Guild Wars Trilogy - €7.5
- Guild Wars Eye of the North expansion - €5
This is the first time that the instalments have been discounted by 75 per cent.
Best value is buying the Trilogy along with the Eye of the North expansion, for a total of €12.5 which provides hundreds of hours of gameplay, farming, dungeon delving and secret searching. GOTY Edition will give you bonus items that are helpful while leveling but by no means crucial.
