It's go time. Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders have opened across PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, with two editions on offer ahead of the 19 November launch.

Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto 6 are now live. As Rockstar Games confirmed earlier this week, the floodgates opened today, 25 June, letting players lock in the most anticipated game of the generation ahead of its 19 November 2026 release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

There are two editions to choose between, and a few details worth knowing before you commit.

Standard vs Ultimate Edition

The Standard Edition is the base game at $79.99, available digitally or as a code-in-box physical version. Worth repeating: the physical copy doesn't include the game on a disc, just a download code.

The Ultimate Edition steps up to $99.99 and is digital-only. On top of the base game, it bundles a large collection of bonus content threaded across Jason and Lucia's story, including vehicles, weapons, outfits and several Ultimate-exclusive businesses and side missions.

The pre-order bonuses

Every pre-order, regardless of edition, includes the Vintage Vice City pack as a bonus, which adds a '55 Vapid Stanier sedan and garage near Ocean Beach, period-appropriate outfits and hairstyles for both leads, and a classic weapon pattern.

The Ultimate Edition piles on considerably more. Vehicles include the '95 Grotti Cheetah, a '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy, the Shitzu Squalo boat and a Dinka Enduro motorcycle, alongside the Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers and personalised pistols. It also unlocks a string of exclusive locations, from mod shops and a tattoo parlour to a clothing store and salon, plus two exclusive side missions.

Should you pre-order?

Pre-ordering anything carries a small risk, and there's no rush in the sense that GTA 6 isn't going to sell out as a digital product. That said, this is about as safe as a pre-order gets, given Rockstar's track record and the fact the bonus content is the only real incentive rather than guaranteeing a copy. If you want the Vice City pack or the Ultimate extras, locking in now makes sense; if you're unsure, there's no harm in waiting closer to launch.

GTA 6 launches 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Pre-orders are live now, with the Standard Edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99.
