Fortnitemares is here again for Fortnite and Epic has finally revealed when we can expect it to happen. With many leaks leading up to this point Epic has now stated that Fortnitemares 2026 will be coming on October 1st with the next update to Fortnite.
The teaser itself shows the Fortnitemares logo and reads "The Game is Cursed". Which can give us some insight into what may come this Halloween.
Fortnitemares 2026 Release Date
Fortnitemares 2026 will be here on October 1st 2026. As we saw from Epics teaser earlier on September 23rd we now know that Fortnitemares is coming on October 1st.
Five Nights at Freddy's Could Be Coming to Fortnite
There has been many rumors that Five Nights at Freddy's may be coming to Fortnite.
When Chapter 7 season 4 dropped we noticed a weird building that seemed unfinished on the island. It looked very similar to Freddy Fazbears Pizza. Some even going as far to say that the map looked like it was inspired by the game.
SamLeakss has said that Five Nights at Freddy's is coming this Fortnitemares. Many others have said that he is very confident in this leak but nothing has been confirmed yet.
Chucky Is Also Linked to Fortnitemares
Chucky has also been leaked to be coming to Fortnite this Fortnitemares. With Fortnite leakers such as ShiinaBR and FNBRIntel saying that Chucky is coming this Halloween. If Chucky does come to Fortnite he will be one of many horror based characters to join the game over the years.
Weapons That Could Come Back
We know that every Fortnitemares gives us weapons to play with during Battle Royale. There is a chance that we may see these return again this year.
One that stands out to me is the Chainsaw. Which was available to use for the past two years during Fortnitemares. The Wood Stake Shotgun could also make a return to Fortnite this year as well.
These were both weapons that were introduced during Fortnitemares 2024 with the Pumpkin Launcher and Witch Broom. We may also see new things added to the Fortnite map this Fortnitemares as well.
