Epic Games is increasing Fortnite V-Bucks prices starting March 19, while lowering the cost of Battle Passes including the OG Pass, Music Pass and LEGO Pass.

Fortnite developer Epic Games recently shared details about upcoming changes to pricing in-game, specifically referencing how much V-Bucks will cost and details about select Battle Passes.

Slated to go live on March 19, 2026, Epic Games has detailed that select prices within Fortnite will be going up, specifically relating to V-Bucks, while select Battle Passes will see a decrease in pricing.

Per Epic, the increased costs of operating Fortnite have warranted a change to the amount of V-Bucks players will receive when purchasing a V-Bucks pack. Coincidentally, select Battle Passes will see a reduction in price.

V-Bucks Packs Are Getting Less Value

Every major V-Bucks bundle in the game is getting buffed. Although you’ll spend the same amount of dollars on these bundles, you’ll get less V-Bucks.The changes affect the Exact Amount purchasing method too.

Starting March 19:

  • The $8.99 pack will include 800 V-Bucks instead of 1,000, with $1.79 returned through Epic Rewards.
  • The $22.99 pack will provide 2,400 V-Bucks instead of 2,800, with $4.59 back through Epic Rewards.
  • The $36.99 pack will offer 4,500 V-Bucks instead of 5,000, returning $7.39 in Epic Rewards.
  • The $89.99 pack will now include 12,500 V-Bucks instead of 13,500, with $17.99 returned in rewards.

Instead of getting 50 V-Bucks for $0.50, you will now have to pay $0.99 for the same amount.

Battle Pass Prices Are Being Reduced

As Fortnite V-Bucks packs continue to deflate, multiple Fortnite passes are getting cheaper. The standard Battle Pass will decrease in price from 1,000 to 800 V-Bucks. Finishing it will reward players with 800 V-Bucks, down from 1,000 V-Bucks plus a bonus 500 V-Bucks earned through bonus tiers.

Other passes are also seeing price reductions:

  • OG Battle Pass: 800 V-Bucks (previously 1,000)
  • Music Pass: 1,200 V-Bucks (previously 1,400)
  • LEGO Pass: 1,200 V-Bucks (previously 1,400)

Additional Changes to Fortnite Crew

Fortnite Crew members will also see changes to their subscription. They will now receive 800 V-Bucks per month instead of the previous 1,000. This is presumably to match the decrease in pricing for the Battle Pass.

In addition, the price of the Battle Bundle has decreased from 2,800 V-Bucks down to 2,600. Existing physical gift cards for V-Bucks will still redeem for the amount on the card.
