Fortnite may be teasing another crossover soon, but this time it seems to be with Super Meat Boy 3D, the new platformer coming from Team Meat. The tease was posted from the Epic Games Store’s official Twitter account, seemingly confirming that the games will team up soon.
Very few details are known about this upcoming crossover, but from the tweet we can assume that Fortnite players are going to see some sort of content related to the new platformer game.
Fortnite x Super Meat Boy 3D Teased
The tease appeared as a lone post with artwork depicting Super Meat Boy 3D art with the Fortnite logo slapped on top. Accompanying text simply had three steak emojis.
It doesn’t really tell us much but it does confirm there will be a crossover between the two games.Super Meat Boy 3D was announced last year during Xbox Games Showcase. The game is presently expected to release on console and PC in 2026.
What the Collaboration Could Include
While we don't have an official announcement, here are some things we commonly see with Fortnite crossovers:
- Characters/Skins or themed cosmetics
- Unique items or mythic powers
- Changes to the map/Adding a POI
- Timed events or challenges
Please note this isn't confirmed until Epic makes an official announcement.
Fortnite’s Long History of Crossovers
Fortnite loves making crossover events with other properties from gaming, movies, and pop culture. Throughout its existence, the battle royale has featured characters and cosmetics from dozens of major franchises.
Super Meat Boy 3D would follow in those footsteps but also give players something to look forward to from Team Meat’s next game prior to its release.
Until more details are revealed by Epic Games, players will have to wait to find out how Super Meat Boy will become a part of Fortnite.
