Epic Games Store is getting achievements in the next week's update with four tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.
Epic Games Store have officially announced that the initial rollout of the Epic Achievements system is coming in an update next week. Players can begin earning achievements in a selected set of games which include Rocket League, Hades, Pillars of Eternity, Humankind, Zombie Army 4, Defense Grid, a brand new release Alan Wake Remastered and more.
Epic Games say they are working with many developers to add achievements to their game in the near future.
So, how do XP and achievements work on Epic Games Store?
There are four tiers of achievements based on the XP value and the Platinum Achievement is rewarded when players earn 1000 XP in a game. Here are all the tiers and the amount of XP you can get for each:
- Bronze = 5-45 XP
- Silver = 50-95 XP
- Gold = 100-200 XP
- Platinum = 250 XP
Epic Games Store already offered achievements called developer achievements and they confirmed that these will remain functional if they are integrated into games and the devs don't want to work with the new Epic achievements system.
It's certainly great that Epic are offering the developers this choice.
