Beloved survival title DayZ is getting is second major expansion in Autumn 2024, developer Bohemia Interactive announced. The expansion is officially titled Frostline and as you've probably guessed by the name, it's bringing a new snowy-themed map along with several other new survival mechanics.
Developers say that Frostline aims to transform the survival experience in the new Sakhal archipelago which spans 80 km2 where players will have to manage warmth and resources as they explore new structures and hunt new animal specials.
The devs also released a teaser trailer for the expansion, showing us some of the locations and stunning snow-covered landscapes. We've attached it above so make sure to check it.

- New Terrain: Discover an untouched archipelago where time stands still.
- Winter Landscape: Experience a late winter setting.
- Harsher Survival: Manage warmth and hunt for sustenance.
- Environmental Hazards: Discover hazards of living near volcanic areas.
- Richer Wilderness: Meet new wildlife species adapted to the cold.
- New Gameplay Mechanics: Take on new diseases and an enhanced fishing mechanic.
- Winter Cosmetics: Dress for the season with winter-themed cosmetics.
The expansion is available for wishlist now on Steam. Bohemia did not share an exact release date just yet but as mentioned above, the game is expected during Autumn.
DayZ Frostline will launch on all platforms - PC via Steam, PlayStation and Xbox.
