The news now gets even better for Cyberpunk 2077 fans, as CD Projekt RED revealed the game will make its way to Mac devices in early 2025.
The Ultimate Edition release of the game will include both the base game and highly acclaimed Phantom Liberty expansion to debut an extensive version of the action RPG to Mac-based systems.
Besides confirming it for Mac, CD Projekt RED also made sure to note that this new version will include a slew of new features to implement various optimizations for performance and audio-visual experiences.
Advanced technologies coming for players on Mac include path tracing for ultra-realistic lighting, frame generation to enhance visual performance, and built-in Spatial Audio to give immersive sound quality directly from the device.
Although the studio has yet to set a release date for the Mac platform, CD Projekt RED does promise that more information will be coming soon. The expansion into Mac suggests that the studio is continuing to work on reaching a wider audience and also expanding on the Cyberpunk franchise.
With a new line-up of developments in the franchise, including a forthcoming game, live-action adaptation, and another Netflix animated series, the company CD Projekt RED is going all-in to keep Cyberpunk fans busy.
Currently, Cyberpunk 2077 is on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PCs. The upcoming Mac release will widen this even further, seeing more gamers sink into the sprawling neon-lit world of Night City.
More feature-rich on Mac, the Ultimate Edition promises new and seasoned players a unique gaming experience, blending storytelling and technology in a widely open world.
