Caliber currently has only the firing range to test operators but with the arrival of the User Battles, people will be able to check out entire maps to discover their nooks and crannies without running the risk of getting popped by a flanker.
That will not be the only hypothetical use of this new feature as the custom game modes will become available for the purposes of creating tournaments and even making for-fun modes that aren't available otherwise, at some point in the future.
Players can alter certain parameters in the game's ruleset, providing a creative outlet to some of the community.
Unfortunately, the User Battles will only be available in a limited amount during the initial beta phase where it will be tested further. Additional customisation will not be possible at this time.
In any case, once a custom game is created, other players can join by using the match's ID while the lobby holder can create a password to prevent unwanted guests.
Players will be able to use any operator during their participation in User Battles, even if they didn't unlock them yet. The same restrictions from the practice range apply though so you can't choose any skills and all the perks are fixed by default.
While you could technically use User Battles for various things, they will likely end up being utilised for tournaments only as the organisers will have to pay for such lobbies.
