Haemimont Games revealed what they have in store for Jagged Alliance 3 regarding multiplayer and mod support, earning goodwill on both fronts.
Namely, the multiplayer will essentially be possible with just one copy of the game which is always positive while the mod support is not only existent but also user friendly.
In other words, it won't take a scientist to figure out how to use the tools.
The announcement showcased the tools that the players will be able to use and they are highly reminiscent of the GECK interface for Fallout games before Fallout 4.
According to the post, "modders will have access to the tools we use internally to create content such as mercs, weapons, items, quests, voice responses, and can even add support for new languages".
The devs are guessing the merc modding will be the most attractive part of the toolkit as it allows creation of brand new mercenaries on top of the ability to change the existing ones.
It will be possible to create new models and textures for brand-new mercs, weapons and objects, which will make the possibilities virtually endless.
With this combination of assets, along with the aforementioned quests and voice lines, the modders will be able to create completely new adventures, which spells out great longevity for the game.
