PlayStation 5 players are going to be able to taste one of the best games in this generation soon and here are all the details you might need for it.

Larian Studios switched the release date for Baldur's Gate 3 release on PC previously, moving it one month closer than originally announced while the PlayStation 5 remained the same.

This resulted in the releases having different properties such as preloads and possibly the state of the game at launch.

In any case, Baldur's Gate 3 release date for PS5 is September 6, 2023.

Preloading was no available on PC due to the schedule kerfuffle but it will be available for PS5. Players who own Sony's latest console will be able to preload the game starting on August 31, 2023.

Anyone who pre-ordered the game will be able to preload it but those who haven't will not have the option. After all, it only makes sense to be that way.

Expect the download size to be massive. It was 122 GB on PC and while deviation is possible, we don't believe it can be much lower for the consoles.

Besides being an absolutely massive game, Baldur's Gate 3 also features a lot of cinematic moments which adds significantly to the total download size.

One thing to keep in mind is that the PC version had issues with the size of the save files, some of which went over 10 GB in size. In other words, we would suggest you keep at least 10 GB available on your console, just in case.
