Baldur's Gate 3 has hit another milestone after the release of its long-awaited Patch 7. Launched on PC last week, the patch added a whole host of tantalizing features: new evil story endings, revamped split-screen mechanics, and - perhaps most exciting of all - official modding support.
Announced today by Larian Studios' founder and game director Swen Vincke, in just 24 hours from the launch of the patch alone, over one million mods were downloaded and installed by eager players.
With Patch 7 marking a considerable improvement in the player experience, it is only but the first in line of what is to come from this popular RPG, which has sold almost 15 million copies as of March 2024.
Already, work on additional future updates is underway by the development team at Larian Studios, promising even more optimization and gameplay improvements, plus more of those fan-asked features.
With these forthcoming features, the upcoming role-player Baldur's Gate 3 will be in continued evolution and involvement with a growing community of fans.
