The long-awaited Baldur's Gate 3 patch is just around the corner and today, developer Larian revealed some key details about this update which is set to introduce various improvements and new features to this critically acclaimed RPG.
Patch 5, as Larian calls it, will be 30 GB in terms of download size which is a pretty chunky download, to say the least, but that's nothing when compared to the storage space requirement.
To install this patch, you will need 130 GB of free space on your SSD or HDD. It's a pretty enormous install, which is why Larian Studios are recommending you do a full uninstall of the game and then download the updated build.
"Patch 5 is launching soon! This update will clock in at roughly 30GB and will require approximately 130GB of free space to install. If you find yourself without the space to install the update, we recommend uninstalling BG3 and then re-downloading the patched version," Larian Studios posted on their X profile.
Patch 5 is set to introduce a totally new Epilogue and a bunch of fixes for the poor performance in Act 3, which is the biggest and least optimised part of the game.
In addition to that, expect various other improvements across PC and console version. More details about Patch 5 along with the full patch notes should be coming next week.
