Larian Studios has just dropped a new hotfix into Baldur's Gate 3 that deals with solving several of the issues and bugs that reared their heads after the passage of Patch 7, which launched earlier this month in consoles.
The update will make some very important adjustments, especially for those who are using mods. It also fixes certain common crashes and gameplay blockers.
One of those changes includes fixing issues with mods, such as save files on consoles which would ask players to redownload or uninstall mods, even when said mod had been redownloaded or uninstalled.
The hotfix also reduces the load time it takes to access your game when you have a substantial number of mods installed, which will allow the game to run better for more hardcore mod users.
One of the more critical fixes sorts out a bug where Legendary Actions were leaking from Honour Mode saves into playthroughs. Now, those loading previous Honour Mode saves should no longer encounter enemies with Legendary Actions outside of that mode.
It patches in other bugs, too, such as crashes when loading into playthroughs and when the DualSense controller's lightbar malfunctioned.
In addition to these, the download bar in the Mod Verification Window will also disappear when not needed, which will give players a smoother experience while managing mods.
Baldur's Gate 3 is still out now on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Even as the studio prepares and releases other titles, it does seem to remain committed to releasing new patches for the game - including those featuring planned features like a Photo Mode and cross-play.
