Crypto may finally receive a rework players have been asking for in Season 31 of Apex Legends, a recent leak details. The leaker also claims Crypto will be getting a Prestige Skin of his own should the new season bring the changes players are hoping for.
If the upcoming changes do come to Crypto next season, it will give the robotic Defender something big to anticipate. Crypto’s possible rework was detailed by Apex Legends leaker Osatou_ Apex, who posted a couple of alleged pieces of information about the changes on X.
Crypto changes reportedly coming next season
Specifics about what Crypto’s new kit may include are currently scarce. The leak does not specify which abilities will change, but Osatou_ Apex did share some preview audio said to be associated with Crypto’s rework.
The audio itself doesn’t say enough to clue players into how Crypto will play post-rework, but it may suggest that work on the changes has already begun. There’s been some credible information floating around about a Legend rework happening next season too.
Respawn’s current roadmap for Apex Legends states that Season 31 will include a Legend receiving a rework. The roadmap does not specify which Legend will get the changes, but Crypto has been heavily rumoured.
Crypto has been connected to the next season rework multiple times by the Apex Legends leaks community. As such, he is one of the top suspected Legends to receive it. The community has not seen any official confirmation on which Legend will be getting a rework next season, however.
Crypto is also rumored to be receiving a Prestige Skin of his own should he be playable when Season 31 launches. Players can look forward to a Mythic cosmetic if Crypto does indeed receive both the changes listed above and a Prestige Skin.
