XDefiant went live on May 21 with 24 unlockable, wieldable weapons for players. Everything to know about Ubisoft's XDefiant weapons and how to unlock them. XDefiant, being free-to-play shooter, naturally requires a ton of players to spend time to unlock the weapons within the complete library.
Every weapon does come with specific unlock requirements, like headshot kills or dealing damage. Thankfully, players start off with a number of those weapons and are able to take down these challenges. And here is a complete list of all the weapons in XDefiant and how to unlock them.
Assault Rifles
- M4A1 - You start the game with
- M16A4 - 20 Assault Rifle Headshot Kills.
- AK-47 - 4,000 damage with the Assault Rifles
- MDR - Battle Pass Level 10
- ACR 6.8 - 10 Assault Rifle Longshot Kills (30m).
A list of Assault Rifles in the game shows only ACR 6.8 to be the best one, showing balanced damage, range, and accuracy. The new member of the submachine gun category is Vector .45 ACP.
SMGs
- MP5A2 - Available immediately.
- Vector .45 ACP - Inflict 10,000 damage with SMGs.
- P90 - 10 SMG Hipfire Kills.
- MP7 - Battle Pass Level 20.
The better SMG within the game is MP7, having better accuracy and stability than that of Vector. It has an increased damage rate compared to Vector's.
LMGs
- M249 - Unlocked immediately
- RPK-74 - 10,000 damage with an LMG
- M60 - 5,000 damage to enemy equipment with an LMG
The game goes a bit far and gives the unlocking details for something extra girly that someone may be interested in looking at. For LMG enthusiasts, alternative of the choice is the RPK-74, outpacing the M60.
Marksman Rifles
- MK 20 SSR - Immediately available
- SVD - 15 Longshot Marksman Rifle Kills (30m)
The SVD is better in terms of statistics for engagements in Marksman Rifles at long range.
Sniper Rifles
- M44 – Available from the Start
- TAC-50 – 10 One-Shot Kills with Sniper Rifles
To unlock the TAC-50, focus on loading out the M44 to fill its fullest potential, including attachments such as a Light Suppressor for silent kills.
Shotguns
- M870 – Available from the Start
- Double Barrel – 10 Hipfire Kills with Shotguns carried
- AA-12 – 15 Point-Blank Kills with Shotguns
After the introduction of the Double Barrel, this shotgun becomes a top-tier weapon for players who love to adapt to dangerous playstyles in return for high rewards.
Pistols
- M9 – Available from The Start
- 686 Magnum – 5 Quick-Swap Kills
- M1911 – 4 Secondary Weapon Point-Blank Kills
- D50 – 1,000 damage with a Secondary Weapon
- 93R – 240 seconds of sprinting with a Secondary Weapon
This is the weakest Pistol in its class, but the M9 is a great secondary weapon to have with high damage that is available from the start. There you go; unlock and set up your best weapons in XDefiant! Have fun playing!
