As the story progresses in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – From the Ashes, the quests become more and more complex, containing some small puzzles which can be quite challenging if you don't think outside a box.
One such quest is Family Ties, a quest during which So'lek and Nor will set out on a mission to find two Sarentu members, Ri'nela and Rasi, but to do that, they'll have to pass through a huge cave with a big leaf blocking their way forward.

How to begin the Family Ties quest
Well, since Family Ties is the main quest, starting it will require doing all previous quests from this category. Quests in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – From the Ashes DLC are sorted a bit differently than in the base game because the entire DLC is designed to be more quest- and action-orientated.
To start this quest, simply do the main story and you'll eventually reach it. At some point, you'll have the opportunity to follow multiple main quests, so once the Family Ties quest appears, track it, and following the objectives inside the quest will lead you to this cave and the puzzle in question.
How to open the path blocked by the Rib Plant leaf
The rib plant is a flora species known from the base game, and this plant can be open only from one side, and of course, you'll always be on the wrong side of it.
In this case, Nor will step in front of the leaf, and you'll have to find a way to reach its other side to touch it and open it. To do so, take a couple of steps back and notice a small water pool just in front of the leaf.
Jump inside the pool and dive through a small cave marked with greenish flowers. Keep swimming forward and surface where you see bubbles coming out from the pool bottom. As soon as you surface, So'lek will ask Nor for help to shoot down a vine he can climb on.
Climb the vine and follow the linear path, and soon you'll be on the right side of the leaf to open it and progress through the quest.
