PvP in New World is not for everyone, just like in an other MMO.
PvE players often have a distaste for the PvP activities and hate it when cool items are locked behind that part of the game, which is often true the other way around as well.
If you don't want to do PvP in order to obtain Serenity, Freedom and other artefacts from PvP tracks, Amazon Game Studios provided other ways that may not be apparent at first.
PvP quests
Running PvP quests on repeat often means doing a few simple tasks and the only risk of PvP is if players from another faction had a similar idea and are trigger happy. In my PvP quest runs I found others who would attack on sight but also those who would just ignore you and do their own quests, allowing everyone to farm up PvP experience quickly. Additionally, if you are quick on your mount, you can often outrun enemies and visit a nearby shrine to get PvP protection.
The best two places for PvP quests are Shattered Mountain and Great Cleave.
In both cases, the quests will come down to being in an area for 90 seconds, opening two chests that are far apart from each other and opening five chests. In Shattered Mountain, the last quest will send you to Myrkgaard which is risky but at level 65, you should have no trouble dispatching three or four elite enemies. Just go through the workshop to the left as you enter the area and kill the enemies, which will then allow you to loot five chests with no issues.
In Great Cleave, the runs are much faster which would make it a better choice for most players but this also means it attracts more enemy factions. With a mount and 200+ Riding trade skill, you can leave the outpost and run to a shrine with just a few seconds between them being PvP flagged.
After the shrine gives you another 30 seconds of protection, go for the first "intel" chest, proceed to open the five chests for the other quest close to the waterfalls and then beeline it to the other chest from the first quest. At that point, you should be able to see another shrine nearby. Visit that one, get protection and then run to the outpost.
With that tactic, you can avoid PvP in 90 per cent of the cases even when you see hostile factions doing the same quests.
Outpost Rush
Outpost Rush will award points for upgrading your team's forts. This means chopping up trees, mining ore and skinning animals in order to use their resources and upgrade the outpost. As such, you will not fight enemy players most of the time. Even if one wanders around and kills you, you can still just respawn and wait for a group of your teammates to deal with them, allowing you to keep building afterwards.
Alternatively, you can come in with a healer build. Healers are usually in the back line, spamming heals for everyone else around and are mostly safe. Grab a secondary weapon with a lot of mobility and you can kite any enemies that try to flank you, allowing you to have minimal PvP encounters even if you are letting the brunt of your team to push for the victory.
