New World - Greatswords are one of the most popular weapons

One of the most wanted artefacts in New World can be problematic to obtain. Here is all you need to know about it.

Greatswords are immensely popular in New World and wanting to get the best among them is only natural.

However, to obtain Serenity, the artefact greatsword, you will need a lot of PvP and even more luck.

For those who don't like PvP, there are good and bad news. The good news is that you can obtain it without actually engaging in PvP modes but the bad news is that the weapon will just be a fancy paperweight unless you engage in all forms of PvP.

How to get Serenity in New World

The greatsword is exclusively awarded in the PvP tracks. If you are not familiar with the way they work, you earn PvP experience through Outpost Rush, Arenas, open-world PvP or PvP quests.

There are three checkpoints during a single PvP track, each of them offering a choice between three rewards. Serenity will have a chance to appear at the third checkpoint after you've completed 20 PvP reward tracks.

As such, you can get there with minimal PvP through farming PvP quests in Shattered Mountain and Great Cleave. These include menial tasks such as staying in one zone for a minute and a half, opening two chests or opening five chests. The only way you will do PvP here is if someone else in the area is flagged for PvP and they attack you.

The random perk is added by upgrading the weapon at a Gypsum Kiln after obtaining all the other pekrs.
