Announced at BlizzCon 2026, World of Warcraft: Forever promises to return to the game's roots by recapturing what made WoW great. This was one of the big announcements at BlizzCon alongside Diablo 5 and the new StarCraft open-world first person shooter.
Since beta will be starting in just a few days, players can pre-purchase access before release. Players have two methods to attempt to access the beta; one of which will guarantee access.
How to Get WoW Forever Beta Access
The surefire way to get beta access is to purchase one of the editions that come with it pre-bought:
- Skyborne Epic Pack – $59.99
- WoW: Forever Collection – $79.99
- WoW: Forever Collector's Edition
Beta access is not included with the Skyborne Heroic Pack, so players will need to get either the Epic Pack or higher to get in.
WoW: Forever Collection comes with everything from the other bundles plus Warcraft III: Reforged, which includes an exclusive campaign as well as extra bonuses for the new World of Warcraft game.
Upon purchasing one of these eligible games, Blizzard will email you a key for beta access, though the source indicates that it may not be immediate. Players will also be able to head to the World of Warcraft website and sign up for the beta for free, but this will not guarantee access like purchasing one of the eligible editions will.
When Does the WoW Forever Beta Start?
World of Warcraft Forever beta will be available from September 17 to October 21.
After the beta period there will be an Early Name Reservation period from October 27 - November 3 where you can create up to three characters and reserve their names on a first-come first-served basis.
The only way to guarantee yourself a beta invite at this time is by purchasing The Skyborne Epic Pack for $59.99.
