Marvel Rivals: Invisible Woman 101
Let us begin with a rundown of Invisible Woman in Marvel Rivals. Invisble Woman is a Strategist character with the ability to take mid and short-range fights with the ability to deal damage alongside her teammates and heal them at the same time. Here's a complete overview of Invisible Woman's move set:
Passive
- Covert Advance: Her passive, Covert Advance, automatically turns her invisible if she hasn't attacked or damaged for 5.5 seconds. While invisible, she also gains 20 health points per second, and she becomes immune to auto-target abilities, such as Star-Lord's Galatic Barrage.
Abilities
- Orb Projection: Her primary fire, Orb Projection, quickly shoots small energy spheres that deal damage to enemies and heals allies. This ability has piercing properties and will affect all heroes within range. The orbs will return to Invisible Woman once reaching maximum distance, dealing damage and healing on return. This attack has no damage falloff, making it hitscan. She can reload primary fire while using her passive invisibility.
- Guardian Shield:Her secondary fire, Guardian Shield, creates a medium-sized energy barrier directly in front of the selected ally. Guardian Shield has 300 health and has infinite duration until destroyed or reclaimed. If reclaimed, the shield's health will quickly replenish if previously damaged. This ability can be reclaimed without breaking her invisibility.
- Allies near the shield also gain 50 health per second.
- Allies standing behind the shield count as if they're out of the opponent's line of sight, meaning that tracking abilities will not target them.
- Psionic Vortex: Psionic Vortex is a projectile that creates an energy field that pulls enemies in while dealing continuous damage and slowing them by 50%. The vortex will form if it hits an enemy or the scenario, but the player can press the button again after firing the projectile to erupt the vortex earlier. The slow is only applied if enemies are near the centre of the vortex. If this ability hits a flying enemy, they'll fall down to the ground and can't fly upwards until they leave the vortex's radius.
- Force Physics: Force Physics allows Invisible Woman to push or pull opponents through psionic energy while dealing damage.
- Invisible Boundary (Ultimate): Her Ultimate, Invisible Boundary, creates a large force field that renders all allies inside invisible to enemies. While inside the force field, allies gain 165 healings per second. Enemies that pass through the field will be slowed by 55% and become invisible to their own teammates that are outside of the force field.
How to Play Invisible Woman
Invisible Woman is a quite straight-forward Strategist with a versatile kit that can help a team hold sites, attack with full force, and run crowd control on choke points. To begin with her kit, you'll use Orb Projection to heal your teammates and deal damage to your opponents at the same time. Her primary fire has a very good range, so you'll be able to deal constant damage while healing your teammates. Another ability that will add to the healing factor is the Guardian Shield. You can raise a shield in front of your teammates to protect them from damage and heal them at the same time. The shield will also heal you if you stand near it.
Her Psionic Vortex is a gravitational pull ability that can be deployed on all surfaces and characters. It deals constant damage once an enemy stands in the vicinity of the ability. It is a great tool for holding choke points and stopping enemies from pushing you and your team. You can combo her Force Physics to pull enemies into your Psionic Vortex and separate them from their team. Another use of Force Physics is pushing away enemies from approaching the objective or if they end up venturing too close to you.
Utlizing the kit of Invisible Woman depends on good positioning, as she has little to no evasion tactic. Her double jump turns her invisble, but you can use it if your enemies have clear vision of you. Her ultimate is an excellent tool for holding sites, pushing a choke point, or keeping your team safe from Star Lord and Hawkeye's ultimates. The ultimate also heals your teammates, slows your enemies, and turns your team invisible once they step into its area.
