Marvel Rivals is a 6v6 third-person hero shooter from NetEase Games in collaboration with Disney's Marvel Games. It is a free-to-play title available across all current-generation platforms. With a massive playerbase across all platforms, Marvel Rivals stands as a staple hero shooter in the current gaming scene.
Since its launch in December 2024, the game has evolved with a large roster of characters with seasonal additions like the Fantastic Four, Daredevil, and Angela. With the new Season 10 update, Marvel Rivals players have received a new Duelist, Gorr. Here's a look at his abilities in Marvel Rivals.
Marvel Rivals: Gorr 101
Let us begin with a rundown of Gorr in Marvel Rivals. Gorr is a melee Duelist character with the ability to take medium- and short-range fights. Here's a complete overview of Gorr's move set:
- All-Black (Primary Attack): Unleash up to a 4-strike rapid combo with All-Black the Necrosword.
- Necro Power: Charge and launch a symbiote mass forward. Hitting an enemy Slows and teleports nearby Black Berserkers to them, or spawns a new one. Arriving, Berserkers unleash a two-strike melee attack to Launch Up nearby enemies before reverting to ranged mode.
- Living Abyss: Surge forward as an Invincible symbiote mass, leaving behind a Black Berserker and driving all active Berserkers into a Frenzied State. Upon landing, manifest a Necroverse that continuously damages trapped enemies, converting them into Bonus Health.
- Black Berserker: Lob a symbiote mass that spawns a Black Berserker on landing to immediately shoot the nearest enemy. If summoned beside an enemy via Necro-Power, it unleashes a two-strike melee attack instead.
- Shadow Harvest: Warp to a selected Black Berserker, sacrificing it Bonus Health equal to half its Health and triggering a symbiote explosion. Briefly unlocks Shadow Scythe: fire a piercing shockwave forward. All-Black then becomes a scythe for a set duration or 4 slashes.
- Twilight of the Gods (Ultimate): Transform All-Black into the Annihilablade. Instantly spawn a Black Berserker beside all enemies in range. While active, slashes deal devastating damage. Berserkers in range will not expire and remain in a Frenzied State.
Gorr will be the fifth Asgardian character to join the hero roster in Season 10, with him being the first hero of this update. From the looks of his abilities, it is apparent that Gorr will be a worthy Duelist and heavy hitter to dominate the close-range and brawling gameplay meta of Season 10.
