Marvel Rivals is a new hero shooter title from NetEase Games and Marvel Entertainment. The game is currently in beta and is set for release for Microsoft Windows, macOS, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The game is built upon hero-shooter mechanics from games such as Overwatch and Valorant. Marvel Rivals delivers fast-paced action with a selection of known Marvel heroes at their disposal. Like most hero shooters out there, Marvel Rivals also features a Competitive mode with its own set of ranks and rules. Here's a complete overview of the competitive mode and rank distribution in Marvel Rivals.
Marvel Rivals: Competitive Mode and Rank Distribution Overview
The competitive mode in Marvel Rivals must be unlocked by reaching player level 5. The easiest way of levelling up in Marvel Rivals is by simply playing the game regularly.
There are a total of eight ranks in Marvel Rivals, with six ranks featuring divisions and the remaining two ranks being singular ranks of their own.
- Bronze (I – III)
- Silver (I – III)
- Gold (I – III)
- Platinum (I – III)
- Diamond (I – III)
- Grandmaster (I – III)
- Celestial
- Eternity
- One Above All
Each rank division has a 100-rank point cap. Once a player reaches ranks above Grandmaster, they'll receive a demotion if they do not play the game for a certain amount of time.
The promotion and demotion of ranks in Marvel Rivals is determined through ranked gameplay. To win points, players must simply win their matches in competitive mode. However, it is still unclear whether personal performance will become a point factor once the game's fully released.
