It is a free-to-play title available across all current generation platforms. NetEase Games has introduced a 35-character roster for Marvel Rivals with characters like Spider-Man, Star Lord, Namor, and Rocket Raccoon. Marvel Rivals: Rocket Raccoon 101

Let us begin with a rundown of Rocket Raccoon in Marvel Rivals. Rocket Raccoon is a unique Strategist character with the ability to take long-range fights. Here's a complete overview of Rocket Raccoon's move set:

Abilities

  • Bombard Mode: His primary fire, Bombard Mode, uses his custom-built rifle to rapid-fire projectiles at high speed.
  • Repair Mode:His secondary fire, Repair Mode, uses his custom-built rifle to launch bouncing spheres that provide healing-over-time to allies within its radius. The projectiles will bounce off any surfaces upon contact, with a maximum of 10 bounces.
    • When they approach injured allies, their speed will reduce.
    • This ability grants Rocket Raccoon incredible flexibility, as he can use terrain to make the spheres bounce to allies out of reach or to safely heal the team while hiding behind walls out of the enemy team's line of sight.
    • Rocket can also use the spheres to heal himself with halved efficiency.
  • B.R.B. (Battle Rebirth Beacon): A stationary gadget on the targeted location that revives a fallen ally once, within a large radius around it.
    • Resurrected allies will appear at the beacon's location in full health. Upon reviving an ally, the beacon disappears and goes on a cooldown.
    • While active, the beacon periodically generates armour packs and rocket jet packs every 3 seconds, shooting them randomly within its radius. The armour pack grants 25 bonus health. The rocket jet pack grants players a super jump that launches them high in the air upon pressing the jump button in mid-air.
  • Jetpack Dash: Jetpack Dash has Rocket Raccoon quickly propelling himself forward. This ability will move him towards any direction of the aiming reticle, granting him flexible mobility. This, combined with his small frame, the ability to wall climb, slow fall, and use the rocket jump from B.R.B., makes Rocket Raccoon very hard to pin down.
  • C.Y.A. (Cosmic Yarn Amplifier) (Ultimate): His Ultimate, C.Y.A. (Cosmic Yarn Amplifier), has Rocket Raccoon deploy a stationary gadget that grants a 40% damage boost to all allies within its radius.

How to Play Rocket Raccoon

Rocket Raccoon is a versatile and mobile healer whose abilities make his team almost unkillable. Moreover, thanks to his puny size, wall-running ability, and jetpack, Rocket can evade almost all situations without a scratch. While other healers need to see their teammates to heal them, Rocket can spam his healing balls relentlessly from hidden sight, providing constant healing over time to his teammates.

As Rocket Raccoon, as soon as you load into the map, deploy your Battle Rebirth Beacon to give out armour and jet packs to your teammates, and then just before the round begins, retrieve it back. Now as you move towards your objective, deploy the Battle Rebirth Beacon in an obscure place near the site to enable the respawn for one of your team mates. Once they die, they will respawn on the beacon and it will go into cooldown. Remember to periodically deploy your Rebirth Beacon to provide armour packs and allow your teammates to spawn near you instead of the team spawning far away.

As for dealing damage, as Rocket Raccoon, you're primary objective is to healbot instead of dealing damage. However, keep dealing chip damage with your team to make their time easier on the site. To heal your teammates, keep firing your Repair Mode and bouncing them with the walls around you to keep healing your teammates. Try avoiding the line of sight of enemy DPS to make your time easier. As a support character, your primary objective should be to keep your Vanguards alive no matter what. Remember to use Rocket's nimble feet to wall run for unparralled mobility throughout all maps and modes.
