Bandai Namco have finally addressed the requests of numerous fans for the online rematch option to be added to Jump Force. The publisher has stated that they are currently busy looking for a way to implement the feature to the game.

After announcing patch 1.04 on Jump Force's Japanese Twitter profile yesterday, Bandai Namco have now taken to their official Twitter account to make the announcement for their Western audience as well.

The tweet describes the contents of the upcoming patch, such as battle adjustments, improvements to the game's overall stability, a bunch of new purchasable items for your avatar and so on. So it is pretty much everything we already know about the upcoming update, just written in plain English, as opposed to us having to translate it from Japanese.

However, the comments section of their tweet reveals something that fans are sure to be happy about. Namely, Bandai Namco have finally acknowledged the number one thing players were wanting to see added to the game - the rematch option for online matches.

They have stated that the rematch option is currently in the wishlist and that they are looking for ways to add it to the game, all the while asking their fans to bear with them "for a short while". While this does not exactly mean that the feature is going to be implemented in the next update, or the one after that, it does give hope that it will be added to the game eventually.

After all, a rematch option for online matches, either ranked or friendly, is an absolutely essential feature - so much so that we are still genuinely wondering why on Earth it wasn't included in the game from day one. But, better late than never, right?

Apart from finally addressing the whole rematch situation, Bandai Namco have also stated that they are fixing the issues and creating patches based on the players' feedback. Other features that players have been most vocal about are 1v1 battles, tournament mode and unlimited rounds for online matches.

Whether fans are going to have these wishes fulfilled as well somewhere down the line, remains to be seen. The update will be released soon for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
