Blizzard has confirmed that World of Warcraft: Midnight will launch on 2 March 2026, with early access to the new Housing system beginning on 2 December. The expansion continues the Worldsoul Saga and introduces new zones, features, and a playable Demon Hunter specialisation.

Blizzard has shared the worldwide launch date for World of Warcraft: Midnight, the upcoming chapter in the Worldsoul Saga. The expansion lands at 3PM PST on 2 March 2026, which for some regions will be the early hours of 3 March. A new cinematic that debuted at Gamescom was also shared, focusing on a number of key figures from the story such as Lor’themar and the return of villain Xal’atath.

Fans won’t have to wait until March, however, to get a feel for Midnight. The housing system for Midnight has an early access system for players who pre-purchased any edition of the expansion, available from 2 December. 

It lets players pick a home, find a neighbourhood to be a part of, and start decorating before launch. The early access system will offer a limited selection of items, with the full housing system launching next year with the expansion itself.

Midnight has three editions: Base, Heroic, and Epic. Each expansion edition includes The War Within, an Enhanced Level 80 Character Boost, and early access to the Housing system. 

The Heroic Edition also includes the Lightwing Dragonhawk mount and the Lightstrider Raiment transmog set. Epic Edition players get even more, including pets, exclusive mounts, Housing décor items, automatic beta access, three days early access to the full expansion, and 30 days of game time.

New Features Added With Midnight

Midnight will include several new zones that players will be able to explore, including a revamped Eversong Woods, Zul’Aman, Harandar, and the Voidstorm. The campaign also adds a story arc involving Arator, the son of Turalyon and Alleria, and players will be helping him to find relics of the Light.

Demon Hunters will get a new third specialisation, the Devourer, that lets players use Void energy to power ranged abilities stolen from their enemies. 

The Demon Hunter class will also be opening up to Void Elf characters.The expansion will launch with several Delves that players can do solo or with co-op friends. There are also eight new five-player dungeons added to the game. Three raid dungeons will be added as Season One content, dropping over time.

Early Access Housing Arrives on 2 December

Players that pre-purchase Midnight will be able to join a neighbourhood, choose a home, and start decorating when Housing Early Access opens next week.

Housing Early Access Items can be used to start getting your pad to a point, but this is only a small sample of the Housing items that will be available on launch. 

Progress during early access will be carried over to the full expansion as well. World of Warcraft: Midnight will release on PC on 2 March 2026.
