The DLC, called Ode to Castlevania, will add over 20 new playable characters from the Castlevania franchise, including Simon, Richter, Trevor, and Sionia Belmont.

Long in the works and just in time for Halloween, a crossover between Vampire Survivors and the Castlevania series has now been announced. Informally referred to as Ode to Castlevania, this DLC from developer poncle will be releasing on the spooky season spectacular of October 31st for $3.99 on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5.

With this new expansion, players will team up with the legendary Belmont family to hunt down the denizens of the night.

This version adds more than 20 new playable characters from the Castlevania franchise, including such popular names as Simon, Richter, Trevor, and Sionia Belmont- along with other inspirational characters like Sypha Belnades, Maria Renard, and Eric Lecarde, in this DLC.

Along with the new characters, naturally, comes more than 40 new weapons that will be added into the game. Speaking of which, the players will get access to multiple whips, Alucard's weapons, glyphs, and a bunch of spells.

Some characters start with some specific weapon; others can unlock something called Weapon Selector, allowing the players to choose their whip.

If one were to count, there's a whole DLC of new characters and weapons, adding up to the largest Vampire Survivors map to date-almost oozing with strange places to find and monsters to battle.

But what awaits the Castlevania hopefuls is a soundtrack composed of more than 30 remixed and original tracks.

Coming on Halloween, aka October 31, Ode to Castlevania might finally provide an amazing cocktail of classic Castlevania elements merged with the peculiar gameplay of Vampire Survivors, and it could not come at a better time: right in time to celebrate Halloween.
