Iron Gate Studio will release Valheim's Hearth and Home update in less than 24 hours. Players who savour their Viking adventures with a side of mods will want to remove them for the time being.

Iron Gate Studio will be rolling out the long-awaited Hearth and Home update for Valheim tomorrow, September 16, 2021, at 13:00 GMT. Set your alarms, timers and let's get to waiting patiently.
Valheim Hearth and Home update launch details
Rest easy, Vikings, your existing world will not be destroyed but backing up the old world is always a prudent idea. The fresh Hearth and Home content will be available in the existing worlds but you may need to do some additional exploring as well as drop and pick up some items to update their stats.
The devs recommend starting up a fresh world to get the ultimate Hearth and Home experience. Also worth noting is that when you've played one character using the new update, this same character will no longer work with older builds of Valheim.
Players who enjoy Valheim with mods enabled may find that the best course of action is to temporarily (but completely) remove the mods. Hearth and Home update won't immediately work if mods are present.
If you get a Unity error while trying to launch the game you have likely missed some mods.
