Some of the most iconic FPS games ever made will lose online services at the beginning of 2023.

Unreal Tournament from 1999 is one of the best FPS games ever made and a contender for the best in the series co-developed by Epic Games and Digital Extremes .

Unfortunately, all good things come to an end, with UT99 seeing the end of its online services close to 24 years after its release, on January 24, 2023.

This is not the only game in the series that is losing support, with another GOAT contender, Unreal Tournament 2004 being on the roster.

The full list of games Epic announced termination of online services for is as follows:

  • Unreal Gold
  • Unreal 2: The Awakening
  • Unreal Tournament 2003
  • Unreal Tournament 2004
  • Unreal Tournament 3
  • Unreal Tournament: Game of the Year Edition
  • Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars
  • The Beatles: Rock Band
  • Rock Band 1-3
  • Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess
  • Green Day: Rock Band
  • Dance Central 1-3
  • 1000 Tiny Claws

Unreal Tournament 3 free-to-play re-release has already been leaked but that game is far from the most popular in the series so this is hardly any consolation for the fans of the series.

While they were delisted on other retailer sites, GOG was selling DRM-free versions of the Unreal Tournament titles above so if you are looking to get them, time might be running out.
