THQ Nordic are teasing the upcoming expansion for Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning but there are still some voices of concern about the game itself.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is a horribly overlooked game and everyone was hyped to high heavens when THQ Nordic announced they would bring the game back as a remaster with "Re-Reckoning" as the subtitle. Eventually, it didn't pan out to be the game everyone hoped it would be since barely any changes happened but the price tag went up and it's currently sitting at $40/€40 on Steam.
Furthermore, if you want the upcoming expansion, you will need to buy Re-Reckoning which is quite the price bump for a game that is basically no different from the original. Anyway, the company was quiet about the DLC for a while and they have now posted another teaser.
It includes an image of Gale Crossing, a small town in the upcoming DLC, Fatesworn. The town used to be prosperous since it's set on Amalur's version of the Silkroad but it has now fallen on dark days.
One thing to note in the teaser is that THQ Nordic mentioned they are in the final stages of production. It's hard to gauge what that exactly means in today's opaque speak but we might end up seeing more upcoming content in the next few months.
