THQ Nordic announced that the remaster of the popular, yet underrated, classic is now available on Nintendo Switch.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning has been released on all major platforms back in 2020 and it's now available for handheld gaming via Nintendo Switch as the eShop has received this title as well.
For those not in the loop, the game is a remaster of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning which held the cult classic status for quite a while but was also the demise of the studio that created it.
With all that in mind, it is quite amazing that KoA still delivered a beautiful world and combat that gripped just about anyone who played it. One of the main reasons for players enjoying the combat is the way character builds were handled since there are absolutely no reins placed on the player when they are choosing what to level up.
There are three disciplines you can invest in but putting points in one doesn't lock you out of the other two, which eventually produced some of the most fun action pieces in video gaming to date. Sometimes it's the brutish warrior that mainly invested in Might that also slings spells and other times it's the teleporting Rogue who went on their shady path of Finesse but also invested in Sorcery.
Bottom line is that there are countless possibilities to choose from and the skills work so well together that you pretty much can't go wrong.
