After waiting for almost a decade, Dead Island 2 release date gets some good news instead.
Dead Island 2 release date has been moved to April 21, 2023.
Even though such a move may look like the icing on the cake that is a well-managed development cycle, nothing could be farther from the truth in this case.
It was originally developed by Yager , the studio then got dropped by the publisher and the development kept changing hands until THQ Nordic finally put it in the lap of Dambuster Studio, who will finally release it on the aforementioned date.
The news came from the official Twitter account , almost a decade after the initial trailer that announced Dead Island 2 and kicked off the hype train that has more than derailed over the course of the years.
Interestingly enough, it was Techland that was initially meant to develop Dead Island 2 but they didn't strike up a deal with Deep Silver , which led them to develop the Dying Light series instead.
As you probably know by now, two Dying Light games have been in the span of seven years, compared to the 12-year gap between Dead Island and Dead Island 2.
