Dead Island 2 is just under two weeks from release and now we know what kind of PC specs people will need in order to run it.

Deep Silver published the system requirements for Dead Island 2 on PC and while the game doesn't have outrageous demands, it doesn't appear like it received additional optimisation, compared to the consoles.

For example, the target performance for PS5 and XSX is roughly the same as that of the Recommended specs for PC.

Regardless of which performance tier you are aiming for, you are going to need Windows 10 OS or higher as well as 70 GB of disk space.

Minimum requirements (1080p / 30 FPS)

  • CPU: AMD FX 9590 or Intel i7 7700 HQ
  • GPU: AMD RX 480 or Nvidia GTX 1060
  • RAM: 10 GB

Recommended specs (1080p / 60 FPS)

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or Intel i9 9900K
  • GPU: AMD RX 6600 XT or Nvidia RTX 2070 Super
  • RAM: 16 GB

High specs (1440p / 60 FPS)

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X or Intel i5 12600KF
  • GPU: AMD RX 6750 XT or Nvidia RTX 3070
  • RAM: 16 GB

Ultra specs (4K / 60 FPS)

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X or Intel i7 13700K
  • GPU: AMD RX 6950 XT or Nvidia RTX 3090
  • RAM: 16 GB

Most of the players will likely try to run the game in 1080p at 60 FPS and even though the list shows newer hardware, components like Ryzen 5 3600 and RX 5700 XT should do just fine.
