Warhammer 40K fans as well as those who miss classic shooters are getting a treat in May 2023.
Warhammer 40,000 Boltgun is releasing on May 23, 2023.
Focus Entertainment and Auroch Digital announced the big date with a brand new trailer that you can check out below but just in case it doesn't paint a picture clearly enough - it is heavily inspired by classic first-person shooters like Doom and Quake.
It may be odd seeing a heavily armoured space marine seemingly floating through the map at first but not having that type of movement would certainly take away from the '90s shooter vibe so it's clear a compromise had to be made.
This boomer shooter will take players across the galaxy in the neverending combat against forces of Chaos, which include corrupted space marines as well as daemons that serve the nightmarish realm.
System requirements haven't been announced yet but they probably won't be too high, given the simplistic nature of the design and graphics due to leaning towards ideas from three decades ago.
Boltgun is one of the most anticipated W40K video games this year, with Rogue Trader probably being the biggest one as it was developed by Owlcat Games , the people behind the fantastic Pathfinder titles.
Boltgun will normally cost $22 / €22 but it is currently 10 per cent off on Steam.
