Bethesda's Starfield came out on Xbox and PC last year. Since then, the game has received numerous updates containing different in-game fixes, visual improvements, and balancing changes.
While Starfield improved a lot over time, most Bethesda fans have been eagerly waiting for the game's creation kit. The Creation Kit is an exclusive feature in most Bethesda games that allows players to create their own mods. All Bethesda titles since Skyrim have their own version of Creation Kit, making the games more customisable.
However, after Starfield's launch, players were left confused as the game had no dedicated Creation Kit. To clear up confusion regarding the addition of Creation Kit, Bethesda's director, Todd Howard, shared further details about the arrival of Creation Kit in a future update.
Todd Howard talks about when Starfield might finally get Creation Kit
In a recent interview session with Kinda Funny Games, Todd Howard finally talked about Starfield's Creation Kit. When asked about Starfield's Creation Kit, Todd shared details on how the feature is being worked upon by the developers of Starfield. However, he further emphasised that they are unsure about when the Creation Kit will finally become available.
According to Todd, for the developers of Starfield, the addition of the Creation Kit remains a priority. Moreover, they have also reportedly hired many reputed mod creators to work alongside the team to create a fully functional creation kit and club system like previous Bethesda titles Skyrim and Fallout 4.
While Starfield is a well-built game on its own, the addition of the Creation Kit increases the possibility for players to create different items, such as ships and megastructures. The potential of Creation Kit is fully visible in the different modded versions of Skyrim and Fallout 4. Hopefully, the Creation Kit will allow players to fully utilise the game's mechanics.
