The Fallout 4 Next Gen update is set to be launched on April 25. Bethesda unveiled the news on Thursday morning, following the debut of the series-based show on Amazon Prime Video.
The forthcoming update, available at no cost, brings many enhancements and additions to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Notably, Performance Mode and Quality Mode settings will grant players the flexibility to experience the game at 60 frames per second across various resolutions.
For PC fans, Fallout 4 receives widescreen and ultra-widescreen support, along with official verification for the Steam Deck platform.
Beyond technical optimizations, Bethesda is enriching the Fallout 4 experience with a suite of complimentary Creation Club items. Leading the charge is the Enclave Remnants, injecting the enigmatic Pre-War faction into the game's narrative through the engaging quest, "Echoes of the Past." Players must thwart The Enclave's ambitions and prevent their influence from spreading across the Commonwealth.
Accompanying this addition are a variety of workshop items and the Enclave Colonel uniform, along with an array of enticing offerings:
- Enclave Weapon Skins
- Enclave Armour Skins
- Tesla Cannon
- Hellfire Power Armour
- X-02 Power Armour
- Heavy Incinerator
In addition to the Enclave pack, Bethesda introduces a "makeshift weapon pack," featuring unconventional yet lethal objects like a baseball launcher, nail gun, and even a piggy bank-turned-weapon, offering a whimsical twist to combat encounters.
Lastly, the Halloween workshop pack injects a spooky flair into settlements with 38 new Halloween decorations, perfect for players seeking to infuse their virtual abodes with seasonal charm.
