GSC Game Word today announced that the original trilogy of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games, which includes Shadow of Chornobyl (2007), Clear Sky (2008) and Call of Prypiat (2009), will release on Nintendo Switch in just a few weeks - October 31, 2024 - which is slightly ahead of the initially planned November release window.
The developer also released a tgrailer that includes footage fully captured on the Nintendo Switch consoles, showing how the game runs and looks on this hardware. You can check the trailer below.
GSC Game World state that all three versions have been fully optimised for Nintendo Switch including features like adapted shooting system with gyro aiming, touch interface and controls, refined visuals, and full handheld and TV mode support, to make the game feel authentic as possible for Switch players.
The port was developed with Mataboo, who helped make this version happen and fully utilise the capabilities of the Switch console. As for the price, The trilogy bundle will cost 39.99 USD/39.99 EUR/32.99 GBP but you can also get all three games separately in digital format for 19.99 USD/19.99 EUR/15.99 GBP.
All in all, it's certainly great release for Switch players who'll get the chance to try the classic Stalker experience and perhaps jump to PC or Xbox for the long-awaited sequel that arrives in November 2024, if everything goes to plan.
