Cyberpunk battle royale Off the Grid is finally out across all platforms and the developer Gunzilla Games have teamed up with some of the world's most popular streamers to promote the game.
The likes of Ninja, Tim the Tatman joined the party last night to stream the game in order to attract more players to give this free-to-play title a chance. Ninja even has his own skin in the game which shows just how focused Gunzilla Games are on this type of marketing.
The game itself looks great and unlike anything on the market with a big vertical map and a whole slate of unique features that allow players to glide and fly around the map in a very quick fashion.
I'm also impressed by the game's setting which looks like something straight out of Neill Blompkamp's film, which is not surprising give the director's role in this big project.
If this one looks to be your cup of tea, you can download it for free right now on PC via Epic Games Store (No Steam release yet), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S via Insider program.
All in all, while Off the Grid certainly looks good, it remains to be seen if it's good enough to attract a large number of players to keep it going. It's a very oversaturated genre that Off the Grid is trying to conquer and that could prove to be a difficult task if Gunzilla Games don't deliver meaningful updates in this early access period.
The key will certainly be how fast the team can deliver updates with new content as no matter how good your gameplay loop is, a steady delivery of new stuff is always what keeps players playing. Halo Infinite is just one of the examples of a great game that suffered because of a lack of content.
