GSC Game World and Xbox have released a new documentary titled War Game: The Making of Stalker 2, in which the dev team behind Stalker 2 talks about their journey from the moment they started working on this highly anticipated shooter to the recent Gamescom reveal and all the hardships they endured during that time.
It's a very emotional documentary in which we got to see how the studio dealt with some very tough moments in war-torn Ukraine while they worked hard on the development of the game. The film features up close and personal reveals and I wholeheartedly recommend you give it a watch.
There are also some really interesting insights into how the Stalker franchise became a phenomenon in Europe and how GSC Game World approached the development of the sequel with the aim of staying true to the original games' roots while also providing a lot more content and depth.
Again, it's quite the watch and If you have even the slightest of interest for the Stalker series, check it out, you certainly won't be disappointed.
Stalker 2 is currently scheduled to launch on November 20, 2024, for PC and Xbox Series X|S. The PlayStation 5 version is yet to be announced.
