Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment are proud to unveil a new chapter in the Apex Legends universe with the release of the latest season, From the Rift.
This season's cinematic trailer presents a nail-biting rescue mission featuring Lifeline, the combat medic who is very dear to the players, and her trusty robot drone, DOC.
For context, the story goes that DOC was accidentally pulled into a mysterious dimensional rift where he suffered damage beyond functionality. With quick thinking, the brave Lifeline reaches into the dangerous rift to save DOC, injuring her arm while managing to pull him to safety just in time.
With the new season (From the Rift), Lifeline has gotten a reboot with revised skills to make her even stronger within the Apex Games. The following is what one can expect from her new abilities:
- Tactical Ability: DOC now not only heals all allies in range but can also be directed to follow teammates across the battlefield for continuous support.
- Passive Ability: Lifeline can temporarily glide while holding DOC, letting her maneuver out of tight spots or reach vantage points quickly.
- Ultimate Ability: Lifeline can now launch DOC to create a protective 360-degree Halo Shield. This barrier blocks incoming fire, and allies inside it receive an accelerated healing boost.
These changes make Lifeline a real powerhouse, an amalgamation of defense and support, keeping her team in the game. Starting today, players can dive into Apex Legends: From the Rift on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC via the EA App and Steam.
