Switch 2 players may still get their hands on a Call of Duty game, which could be the upcoming Black Ops 7. Activision have confirmed they are working closely with Nintendo to bring the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 to Switch 2 console.
This marks a significant move for the franchise, expanding its reach to one of the most popular handheld gaming platforms worldwide. Audience? Sony think it's all kids who don't care about the game.
"We’re committed to getting the franchise on Switch. Both teams are working on it. Will share details when ready," Activision told IGN.
Call of Duty on Switch could be a massive hit
To us, this statement and collab shows a dedication to not only expand the Call of Duty universe to Switch 2 but also ensure that the game meets the quality standards fans expect from a premium price title like Call of Duty.
The partnership is especially noteworthy given the Switch's massive global user base, which could provide Call of Duty franchise with new audience, which Call of Duty needs lately as Warzone has slowed down in terms of player count.
Black Ops 7 Switch 2 Release date
While no release date has been announced yet, we should be hearing more about Call of Duty Black Ops 7 on Switch 2 in the coming months.
We doubt the game will release day one on Switch 2 given that Activision already have their hands full with the development of the PlayStation, PC and Xbox versions but down the road, a couple of months later, it's highly likely we see the popular shooter on Nintendo's console.
