It's finally coming: Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl was supposed to hit the streets, at long last, after development challenges that proved insurmountable, multiple delays, and strikingly unprecedented obstacles that matted down developer GSC Game World.
This much-awaited survival horror shooter game will launch on November 20, 2024. It will be made available for Xbox Series X/S and PC, with the new PC system requirements revealed just a few days ago.
What's rather different about this release, however, is the fact that the game will actually unlock globally for everyone at the same time. North American players will get in at 8 AM Pacific Time/11 AM Eastern Time, European ones a little later at 4 PM GMT. Due to time zones, Japanese and Australian players won't be able to access the title until November 21.
Heart of Chornobyl brings players deep into the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, merging open-world exploration with first-person shooter gameplay and survival horror elements.
The game's dynamic world is chock full of hazards and surprises, promising an immersive experience that will expand on the legacy of the much-loved Stalker game series in ways to be seen.
Pre-loading is already available via Xbox platforms, which of course means one can pre-load and thus prepare their system in advance. With the countdown ticking, gamers are ready to plunge into this dark, atmospheric world.
Mark your calendars for November 20, and get ready to dive right into the haunted territories of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl with its captivating storyline and survival games. Get ready, the Exclusion Zone awaits!
