Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, the latest survival shooter from GSC Game World features a wide variety of weapons and gear, which can be found all over the Zone.
The gear you find around is usually of poor quality, which is far from ideal, especially for weapons, as there's a great chance your gun will get stuck during the encounters, which will usually lead you to your death.
If you want to keep your equipment as well-maintained as possible, you'll have to take care of it from time to time, but you might wonder how and where you can do that. In this guide, we will give you the answer to that question.
How to upgrade and repair gear and weapons in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl
To upgrade your gear, you'll have to find a technician first, and those special vendors are located through the Zone's settlements and bases. You can recognise them by their wrench icon on the map and radar.
The first base you'll encounter in the game will be Zalissya, and the first time you visit it, you won't find a technician there. You'll have to complete a side quest However, if you decide to check out one of the side quest markers located in the building to the right of the one where your bed and stash are located, you'll be able to enter the building with a car on its roof and speak with Lance, a legless guy who will gladly take care of your equipment if you give him enough coupons.
Every technician will be able to restore your broken guns and other gear and apply many upgrades to your weapons, like different barrels, sights, triggers, and more. Keep in mind, however, that some weapons are beyond repair, and some repairs will be very costly, so choose wisely which ones are worthy of your coupons.
