Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, the newest survival shooter from GSC Game World has a gigantic 60 square kilometres map to explore with various abandoned factories and mutant-filled caves. One would think that fast travel would be mandatory with such a huge world but in Stalker 2 that isn't the case.
Fast travel exists in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl; that is true, but you won't be using it very often, or perhaps never. You'll travel on foot most of the time and the game encourages you to do so by giving you objectives that aren't far away from the quest giver, which is certainly great.
However, if you're eager to learn how to travel fast in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, we've prepared a guide that explains this mechanic step-by-step.
How to fast travel in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl
Stalker 2 will only allow you fast travel between your bases and not from anywhere on the map. To fast travel, you'll have to go to the closest base and look for the guide. The guide is a special vendor who will be marked with the crosshair-looking icon on the map.
Once you talk to him, he will offer you his services to transport you to any previously visited base, for the fee, of course. One more reason not to use fast travel services is because it is ridiculously expensive. The guide will charge you 2,000 coupons to transform you to the nearest base, while travelling from one side of the map to the other is much more expensive.
However, if you wish to use those services, that's how you do it. We do encourage you to walk through Zone as much as possible because you never know when you'll come across a nice artefact or a hidden stash.
