Microsoft's reveal schedule might come earlier than most expected as E3 2020 was supposed to be in June but since the event will not be happening in physical or digital form, the participating companies will have to do their announcements in different manners.
In the case of MS, it appears that some reveals might still happen in June but others will come sooner, likely in May 2020. Several industry analysts and other involved people have commented on the situation, with Daniel Ahmad stating that since the planned reveals have been moved from the E3 time slot in bulk, some of them "are now much earlier".
Another analyst chimed in, stating that he had a "feeling" that some PS5 and Xbox Series X announcements would come in May as this would make sense due to build up time and marketing.
Those were already indications that we are in for a treat in May 2020 as far as Microsoft's announcements go, another person who focuses on news pertaining to Xbox Games Studios reminded everyone that Xbox Series X is the only platform with next-gen games announced, adding that Everwild, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 and Project: Mara are only the tip of the iceberg.
Upon being asked for an opinion on how long we will need to wait before seeing some announcements, Klobrille responded that it's a matter of weeks and not months.
These are the latest hints that Microsoft has an event planned for May 2020, along with one in June 2020, with both slated to have important game announcements and/or reveals.
None of the info is official yet but considering the amount of chatter regarding a possible reveal event in a few weeks, it is highly possible Microsoft will use the hype for some additional marketing.
