Returnal's PC listing has been updated to include Steam Deck support, which means the game is arriving to Steam's handled device and could be revealed imminently.
PlayStation exclusive Returnal is coming to PC very soon and according to the latest Steam database update , it's also planned for release on the newly released handheld Steam Deck.
The latest database entry for the game reveals support for the Steam Deck controller profile, which is pretty solid proof that Steam Deck owners will get to play this very soon.
It does look like Sony are pretty serious about this PC port, given that they are also making it compatible with Steam Deck, which certainly requires a lot of additional time for optimisation and further polishing.
Additionally, Digital Foundry's Alexander Battaglia has confirmed today on ResetEra that he has actually seen the game running on PC. So yeah, if that isn't enough proof that Returnal is coming to PC, then we don't know what really is.
Sony and Housemarque are yet to officially announce the PC version of Returnal but it's safe to say that a blog post with all the details is now imminent given that a lot of information about the port has leaked online.
Returnal was released on PlayStation 5 back in April 2021 to huge critical acclaim and praise from fans despite its challenging gameplay.
Housemarque's rouge-like third-person shooter won four BAFTAs including the one for the best game in 2021. Returnal also won the best action game award at The Game Awards 2021.
Soon after the release of Returnal, Sony announced the acquisition of Housemarque , who are currently working on a brand new IP, after completing the work on Returnal expansion Ascension.
