Helldivers 2 is one of the biggest shooters in the world at the moment, despite some serious issues with the server capacity and matchmaking, which has been broken for a couple of days now.
On Steam, Helldivers 2 had over 400k concurrent players over the weekend, beating the likes of Halo Infinite, Destiny 2 and Call of Duty. At the moment, this live service co-op shooter is available only on PC and PlayStation 5, since it's published by Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) but Xbox players are hopeful that Helldivers 2 could still arrive to Xbox, and have made it sure to make their voices heard by starting a petition on Change.org.
The petition has been signed by over 50,000 people at the time of writing this article and it's rising in signatures with each passing minute. Players who've signed the petition state that "everyone should be able to enjoy Helldivers 2" and that "exclusivity harms everyone".
"The Xbox community stands as a bastion of diverse players, each with their unique stories, strategies, and strengths to bring to the battlefield. By bringing Helldivers 2 to Xbox, Arrowhead Game Studios has the opportunity to weave this vibrant tapestry of gamers into the fabric of the Helldivers universe," it's written in the petition description.

Helldivers 2 has already brought a sense of togetherness to the gaming community to the point where PlayStation fans are asking Halo: ODST veterans to join them in the fight against automatons and terminids as they have plenty of experience in fighting alien invasion as "Drop Shock Troopers".
Some fans are even creating trailers of Halo: ODST and Helldivers 2 cinematics to generate more hype for the cause and potentially make Sony drop the exclusivity and release the game on more platforms, namely Xbox.

The way Helldivers 2 brought PlayStation and Xbox fans together is certainly unlike anything we've ever seen before. This is mainly thanks to the game's concept of saving the world from an enemy invasion and co-op design where players must work together to complete quests once they land on various planets.
It's unlikely that Sony will release Helldivers 2 on Xbox but we certainly would not be surprised if it happens, given that the publisher have started releasing their first-party games day and date on PC.
We have contacted Sony for comment on the petition and the potential release of Helldivers 2 on more platforms and will update this article if we get a response.
