Nintendo insider Zippo claims there's a big Nintendo Direct coming in February 2022 that will feature Mario Kart 9 reveal.
A major Nintendo Direct will be hosted this month says Nintendo leaker Zippo who has a fairly accurate track record when it comes to leaking juicy Nintendo news.
"I'm hearing that the first Direct of the year will take place this month and could be as soon as next week," the leaker revealed on their personal blog. "This week is being ruled out because of Nintendo's imminent financial briefings."
Apparently, Nintendo could be revealing a brand new Mario Kart game, at least that's what the leaker is teasing in the blog. "If you made Super Bowl sized money bets on this new Mario Kart not being real, you're going to be out of a lot of money."
Furthermore, there's a chance we could see "Kirby And The Forgotten Land, Splatoon 3, Advance Wars 1+2, the heavily rumoured Xenoblade 3, and a new Fire Emblem title".
Of course, these are just rumours at this point so you should most definitely take it with a dose of scepticism until we get official details from Nintendo.
Nintendo are yet to confirm the date of the next Direct so until that happens, take this as speculation and nothing more.
Last year during February Direct, Nintendo announced Monster Hunter Rise, Splatoon 3, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD and a new Super Smash Bros. character among other things.
So yeah, February Direct can be pretty big and it would not be surprising if we get to see Mario Kart 9 this month.
