League of Legends Patch 14.20 is set to arrive on live servers Wednesday, October 9, 2024, bringing along a handful of champion buffs and gameplay changes.

This patch is the follow-up to the rather big Patch 14.19 - the Riot's mid-season patch that had some pretty large-scale changes to both champions and items.

As with that magnitude of update, some other changes were going to be needed, and Patch 14.20 answers the call.

More importantly, in this patch, many champions are going to get buffs to make them better in-game. Starting from the top, Aphelios is getting a base HP increase from 580 to 600, scaling his passive bonus AD.

Caitlyn was also getting a tiny bump to her attack speed ratio; her Q, Piltover Peacemaker, is hitting secondary targets a bit harder.

Corki's buffs include the following, but are not limited to, several abilities: Q and E have reduced mana costs, while his W- Valkyrie-picked up a significant bonus of 150% AD scaling.

Lee Sin's enjoying the full use of a base AD increase, too. Meanwhile, Pantheon's W, Shield Vault, is getting even more max HP damage. Riven, Tryndamere, Yasuo, and Yone complete this list, each of them enjoying prominent ability buffs.

These champion champions buffs aim to bring more balance and competitive excitement to the game, offering a variety of more viable picks for players who enjoy these characters.

For this patch, Riot Games wants to create a healthier meta where worse champions have opportunities to shine in the Summoner's Rift.
