Riot Games is pulling all the stops for League of Legends' 15-year milestone with special events and rewards for players. It's crazy to think that it's been 15 years since League of Legends released and brought along these memorable moments-like Evelynn wreaking havoc with multiple Sunfire Capes.
Riot celebrates this milestone with various exciting in-game contents and events for fans.The anniversary event will actually take place from October 9th to October 28th, 2024. In that time, themed days will give players the opportunity to show off their talent in things like Creative Day or Music Day or Esports Day.
Among these celebrations, players will be able to earn exclusive rewards such as Mythic skins, emotes, icons, and Mythic Essence. One of the exciting rewards includes the Mythic Anniversary Sivir skin, but it doesn't stop there-one can unlock a lot of other themed cosmetics.
Skins like Cosplayer Neeko, Music Fan Gragas, and Esports Fan Trundle represent those various themed days. "Riot Games has announced that 100% of the proceeds of those skins, plus a 3x matching donation, will go toward the Riot Games Social Impact Fund, propping up a bunch of different charitable causes."
But that is not all: unique missions will grant gamers special rewards. For instance, merely playing the game for 10 consecutive days during the event will grant rewards like Blue Essence, Mythic Essence, and the Ann-Sivir-sary skin.
Here are some of the rewards players will get:
- Day 1: Anniversary Icon
- Day 2: 2500 Blue Essence
- Day 3: Mystery Icon
- Day 4: 1050 Orange Essence
- Day 5: Anniversary Emote
- Day 6: 5 Mythic Essence
- Day 7: Mystery Emote
- Day 8: 10 Mythic Essence
- Day 9: Permanent Anniversary Sivir Skin
- Day 10: Anniversary Sivir Border and Icon
That's a pretty interesting procession of festivities in store for League of Legends' 15-year anniversary.
